As part of the series of Hexagonal Thinking resources for science, I have created these sample resources of 1 unit from each year group.
Included in this sample pack are the resources for the following units:

Year 1 - Animals Including Humans
Year 2 - Living Things and their Habitats
Year 3 - Light
Year 4 - Animals Including Humans (Teeth and Digestion)
Year 5 - Properties and Changes of Materials
Year 6 - Animals including Humans (Circulatory System)

For a small cost, you can purchase the full resource packs for each year group or a comprehensive KS1 & 2 BUMPER PACK.

Hexagonal thinking is a creative mode for discussion that allows learners to think about concepts and connections in a different way.
Students make connections between the keywords on the hexagons and then justify the connections they make. This is a great way to support student
collaboration, as students discuss and justify their decisions, learning from each other. As the teacher, these conversations and justifications can be used to assess understanding.
