An observed lesson I used with a year 9 class, the worksheets contain activities to improve numeracy skills in science with table and graph work (two differentiated sheets). I have also attached the practical sheets I used for the end of the lesson which the students investigate the effect that size of seeds has on how far they can be dispersed. The clip I used was from Planet Earth Tropics episode, where the tree falls down near the start if you want to include that.

This is a lesson I have used for years 8-11 about the structure of the lungs or activity. You can also choose to do a pluck dissection yourself to give the students a better understanding of the parts of the lungs and mechanisms of breathing. It can also be a good idea to demonstrate the 'screaming jelly baby' demonstration to show the reaction between glucose and oxygen.

For the heart lesson, I usually do a heart dissection instead of the video and questions and get students to create a write up of the practical including: what parts they identified and how they minimized any risks during the practical. Lot of activities included with differentiation and extension questions.
