This resource was a Year 3 lesson that I did as part of an interview for a new teaching job and was told it was 'Outstanding' by the interviewers. It is a Literacy based lesson using a video stimulus, The Monk and the Monkey (which can be found on YouTube), and the Alan Peat sentence structure called '2A Sentence'. It focusses on the use of adjectives, expanded noun phrases and grammatical punctuation associated with this sentence type. If you've never used Alan Peat before, or are just simply looking for a new way to teach adjectives and expanded noun phrases, look no further!
