This is part 1 of a complete unit of work preparing students for their AQA Paper 2 English Language exam, now updated for 2026. A PowerPoint guiding teachers (and students) through all the activities is included as is a booklet of all the handouts of the extracts referred to. In this resource students are given a brief introduction to the exam; an example question using an extract from Toast (Nigel Slater’s autobiography) and an example question using an extract from Cider with Rosie. An overview of the whole Unit of Work is included. Week 1 is a free resource and subsequent lessons can be purchased separately or are available as a bundle.
