This action-packed activity pack introduces students to the engineering design process through the wonderful world of neurons- the cells that make up their brains. It challenges them to build their own neuron rube goldberg machine, guiding them through the engineering design process as they imagine, plan, create, test and improve their machines. Then, the whole class connects up their neurons into a giant brain-like network!

Perfect for a school Science Week, or as a fun end-of-term challenge. And we’d love to see your machines- so do send us a photo by email or tag us @BraintasticSci on social media.

At Braintastic! Science we inspire, engage and educate young people to help them get the best out of their amazing brains. Our content promotes curiosity, encourages kids to ask questions, and highlights the importance of learning and thinking scientifically. As well as free resources and lesson plans we offer science shows and workshops for schools: from hands-on activities for smaller groups to headline stage shows packed with spectacular science, fun experiments and interactive demos.
