Christmas Poem Puzzle - Developing Tray

Based upon Bob Moy's 'Developing Tray' game, this puzzle draws children into all aspects of literacy. They become engaged as they fill in the blanks and their confidence grows as the text becomes their own. I asked my class to rewrite the rest of the story in their books, allowing them to make notes and 'scribble' on the original paper as the poem began to form in their minds. Their are two levels of detail in the story for your different ability groups.
