A simple graphic organizer in PDF format to be used as a handout that students complete based upon individual or group research, depending on how much time you wish to give to the topic. Students fill in the major events for the Western Front, Eastern Front and “Other Theatres” for each year of the war starting from 1915. This chart is meant to be used with the following resources:

This graphic organizer is meant to be followed up by a lesson where students discuss and offer conclusions/summations of their chart.
