In this activity, students will examine the causes of the Ionian Revolt and explore how a failed Persian military expedition triggered a widespread Greek uprising against Persian rule. They will investigate the key figures and consequences of the revolt, paying particular attention to how Darius I’s determination to punish Athens for its involvement set in motion the Greco-Persian Wars.

It has 9 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
