A simple board game I made when doing the topic of maps and looking at our local environment. I used the large one as a whole class activity, using a big foam dice & counters to move around the board. The class where split into 2 teams and had to race to the end. Lots of number recognition, counting 1-1, counting on, predicting. Smaller boards were then used by the children in pairs, simple enough to play independently, which the teacher asking leading questions if necessary (where do you think you will land? Which path are you going to take?)
