It is a requirement for children to get 1 hour of music education per week. In many schools this isn’t the case, I have created a song of the day document where you select an artist per week and listen to 1 song each day and rate it out of 5 whilst discussing the background etc. Then, at the end of the week, the children get to listen to the highest rated song again as a treat. It has worked fantastically in our Year 4 cohort!
