THE MITCHELL PLATEAU OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA - IN THE WET SEASON

This is the first unit in a series of 3 on the Mitchell Plateau during a very very wet season. It is rather like a preface, an introduction. It can stand alone but it would be a bit of a pity to not use this as it was intended as the introduction to mush closer examinations of the Upper and Lower Mitchell Falls and the Aboriginal Rock Art of the Plateau. Basically the feature that links the 3 units is WATER and lots of it. Take your students on the helicopter flights and see what this remote wilderness of the Kimberley is like. The series contains material on landforms, structure, conservation issues, Aboriginal art. Take off in the helicopter and see the Mitchell Plateau as very few see it.
