This unit has a focus on a volcanic eruptions and tsunami consequence that, at the time of preparation, is so recent that it is still in the process of development. It links with Indonesian studies of volcanoes and tsunamis. Many students (alas - not all) appreciate the opportunity to discover information. There is enough resource material included in the pages to help their discovery. The visuals can be screened and discussed. The attachment pages in both colour and black and white will be useful guides to discovery and understanding… The final update page is a recognition that this material is still in the process of collection. Students can use the Web to collect more up to date information. Hopefully that will include photographs and possibly a new map of Anak Krakatoa in whatever form it takes. If it has entirely disappeared then if you can wait long enough the story of Krakatoa suggests that another island may appear in the vicinity of the old Krakatoa and the more recent Anak
Krakatoa. I’m not sure what this new island would be called.
