Year 2 English unit of work including The Gunpowder Plot reading comprehension

This is the first week of a unit of year 2 English work designed to take you through the Autumn term. It covers all aspects of English: GaPS (SPaG), Reading and Writing.

The work is all in a workbook that can be used in its entirety, or as individual sheets. There is a supporting PowerPoint presentation and an answer book included.

Table of Workbook Contents

• Spelling words activities (-dge suffix).
• Punctuation activities (Proper Nouns).
• Grammar activities (The Present and Past tenses)
• Reading Comprehension (The Gunpowder Plot)
• Letter writing activity based on the reading comprehension.
