Becket's Murder

This is a starter activity to introduce the murder of Thomas Becket. It supposes no prior knowledge. Students are introduced to the crime scene, and the witness Edward Grim, whom they can question to try and piece together what happened and create further investigation questions to get the whole picture.

This is a starter, to prompt engagement and questions for further research. It won’t give them the whole story, but will hopefully stimulate interest. As as suggestion, you could follow up with jigsaw groups using whatever sources you have available.
