
In this lesson students review their understanding of sensory language/imagery, with a focus on planning and creating a description using this. The resource is differentiated to allow tailoring for KS3 and KS4 classes and offer different levels of support and challenge as suitable. Metacognitive strategies are applied with guided evaluation and reflection built into the lesson.
This lesson can be used to support creative writing at KS3 and KS4, with particular suitability for GCSE English Language Paper 1, Question 5 by planning and writing a description based on an image.
Suitable for: Classroom teaching, online teaching, tutoring (1:1 and classes).
This resource can be used as a standalone lesson or in conjunction with my other free Halloween resources.
