This film presents the case against the use of animals in scientific research and is ideal for stimulating debate about the animal research issue.

Follow teenagers Callum and Olivia, as they talk to a hospital doctor, the head vet at the RSPCA, an undercover investigator, a geneticist and a team of university toxicology research scientists, to find answers to their questions.

Versions suitable for KS3 and KS4/sixth form available on the same disc.

I watched the Investigating Animal Research DVD (year 10) and found it very user friendly and clear. Easy to do a lesson plan - questions around it. Not so many "shocking/distressing" video clips but enough to get the message over to the pupils. It explained all the 'technical terms' and jargon too which was great. The alternatives were also explained to pupils. I liked the use of the Logo to look outfor when buying products which I normally show pupils too.
