IWB Intro. to 2012 Olympics + rings and linked Art

intro to 2012 Olympics, looking back at video clips from previous games (click dot p1). It then provides images to support considering the reasons behind the Olympic rings: -5 rings for 5 continents-not Antarctica obviously and Americas are together (All 7 included on screen for discussion). -At least one of the 5 colours or white from background was in the flag of each competing country in Summer 1920 (when the rings were first used) There are alternative images of the rings to encourage pupils to develop their own interpretation, incorporating healthy life choices into their designs.
