This is the second Sichuan story in the series. It starts with the partly opened 5 star hotel and ventures out during daylight to discover that most features in the town are new. This question of newness is woven into the hard boiled egg situation. These events took place in 2011 - just 3 years after the massive Sichuan earthquake. Use these stories as stand alone snippets that have connection to the very large Sichuan Earthquake. This earthquake will appear in a more detailed unit in the near future. Students are generally interested in different approaches. How about just using it for interest!
