Sydney Opera House: Alisa Weilerstein (Interview)

This year the acclaimed Mahler Chamber Orchestra performed at Sydney Opera House for two nights. On the second night, a brilliant American star cellist, Alisa Weilerstein, dazzled audiences with her superb technique and immaculate ability to capture the white knuckle Cello concerto by Shostakovich. Lead by Daniel Harding, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra triumphed through works by Schumann, Shostakovich and Dvorak.
