The (Incomplete) Lit in Colour Book List 2022 Edition: KS3–KS5

This book list was developed in response to research with The Runnymede Trust, highlighting the challenge teachers face in sourcing books by writers of colour for secondary classrooms. These book lists are designed to help KS3, KS4, and KS5 teachers diversify their English curriculum and introduce students to a broader range of authors and perspectives.

Our “incomplete” book lists are updated annually, ensuring the collection features both new releases and enduring classics. Each edition includes over 100 recommended titles from Penguin and partner publishers, making it easy to find suitable books for a variety of classes and reading levels.
