In this unit, children will follow the twelve daring labours of the mighty Hercules. From his brutal fight with the Nemean Lion to the flight of the Horses of Diomedes to the skirmish with the dreaded Hydra plus many more! Developing their literacy skills, children will write a newspaper report about Hercules completing all of his labours and becoming a god. They will use a reading stimulus to absorb information about Hercules and then demonstrate their understanding creatively.
