I've used this tactic for other sprawling events (Eng Civil War / events of WW2 for example). Students use the events to create a living graph of the events to illustrate the fluctuating fortunes of the Houses of York/Lancaster between 1455-85.

The review below is a little harsh! I think this is a nice and straightforward lesson that is easy to follow. The event cards are a great resource that can be adapted.

Rather worrying that the idea of 'who deserved to win' is introduced. As a rule of thumb, historians shouldn't take sides - criteria for judgement changes over time.
