The plan gives details of a starter, how to teach the vocabulary, a whole class listening game, a speaking and listening activity, a written activity and a paired plenary. It is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills. Resources needed for the lesson are included in the price. El Roscon de Reyes - Spanish cake recipe

El Roscon de Reyes - Spanish cake recipe

This resource was created to end the topic of food from Listos 2 on a festive note. Students work out the recipe in English by practising translation skills and then bring their version of it for a friendly bake off competition. The ones who can't bake (for various reasons) become judges and give marks on presentation and taste Highly successful lesson which my Y8 classes really enjoy year after year and teach them a little about a Spanish tradition.

No prep needed! In this worksheet there is a matching warmup, where students match the vocabulary from Soy una taza (the song --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AdJPY2Hf7U) Next, the students watch the video and fill in the lyrics to the song using the vocab from the warm up. Finally, I have students learn the dance and act out all the vocab. (my students are in middle school, even though the song is primary they love it!)
