Chapter 2: Lesson 4 - Imperialism
This resource is designed for Year 9 based on the Pearson Edexcel KS3 Scheme of Work. These lessons are designed to specifically prepare students to start studying Edexcel History (9-1). This is the 4th lesson looking at the Chapter on ‘Why did the First World War start in 1914?’. This lesson focuses on Imperialism and encourages students to think about why a country may want an empire. The lesson involves looking at the relationships between the main powers within Europe at that time. The lesson includes group work, source analysis, a 4 mark inference question and a peer marking activity.
