Includes: Senses spelling and matching activities Senses flashcards and word search Sensory investigation scaffold (physical objects will need to be provided by the teacher) Ideally, these are best used as starter activities over the course of the topic, or can be used as a rotation activity in one lesson.

A collection of resources aimed at supporting pupils working within KS1 Science curriculum. These were produced for my SEN pupils who have ASD, however they can be used / adapted for mainstream KS1 pupils or low ability KS2. Also contains the practical planning sheet also sold via my resources.

A planning scaffold aimed at lower ability / SEN pupils to support with demonstrating the practical skills and thinking skills required in the new science national curriculum. Can be easily adapted to meet needs of higher attaining pupils.

Differentiated into 3 levels (entry level 2, 3 and GCSE 1-2) this resource is aimed at meeting the criteria for AQA entry level and GCSE science relating to the circulatory and digestive systems. A report scaffold that requires independent study (suitable demand), table creation and also has some links to video’s on heart dissection and heart function (YouTube). James Hargreaves’ Structure and Function of Digestive System (also on TES, for free) used in conjunction, but not a part of this resource.

An activity aimed at either KS3 or lower ability KS4 pupils, this cut and stick activity considers four different environments and the types of organisms that can be found there. Pupils cut out and stick the correct organism / name of organism onto the right environment, and then follow through with a research activity around adaptations.

A KS3 SEN / lower primary resource aimed at developing language around the sound topic. Interactive, including practicals and supporting listening skills. Focuses on Glastonbury festival, with a video of Ed Sheeran performing. Also encourages children to ‘guess the sound’, create their own sounds using African Drums following a demonstration video and uses dominoes and a guitar to model sound travelling. A PowerPoint scaffold is also provided as an independent learning opportunity. You will need a guitar and dominoes to demonstrate the particles moving. Cut outs of ear and guitar are provided in the PowerPoint. An introductory presentation based on the concept of resilience vs stress. Includes a TED talk from Kelly McGonigal (2013) which runs for 15 mins.

For use with KS3 or KS4 groups in a vocational or PE context. This scaffold is to support pupils with making SMART targets for themselves over a period of time. Useful in ASDAN, AQA UAS or PE lessons.
