A KS3 SEN / lower primary resource aimed at developing language around the sound topic. Interactive, including practicals and supporting listening skills. Focuses on Glastonbury festival, with a video of Ed Sheeran performing. Also encourages children to ‘guess the sound’, create their own sounds using African Drums following a demonstration video and uses dominoes and a guitar to model sound travelling.

A PowerPoint scaffold is also provided as an independent learning opportunity.

You will need a guitar and dominoes to demonstrate the particles moving. Cut outs of ear and guitar are provided in the PowerPoint. Links to additional videos for guess the sound also provided, along with worksheets for this activity and sensory discussion activity during the Ed Sheeran video…
