A video made for the Confident Calculator YouTube channel that introduces the idea of Equivalent Fractions. It introduces the idea and the connected vocabulary in line with best practice and NCETM guidance. Great for teachers to share at the start of the unit, as a recap for students or sent with homework to help when students work at home.
In this video, to help us become #ConfidentCalculators we will be looking at #equivalentfractions and the different ways we can find them.
This video can be for students and teachers alike to use at home or in school to help us learn, recap and deepen our understanding of equivalent fractions.
This video is from Year 2 (6 years +) as that is when equivalent fractions are introduced but might be especially helpful to share with students throughout KS2 to help refresh their memories on what an equivalent fraction is.
