Coming Home (by Michael Morpurgo) Reading Lessons

A series of 4 lessons based on ‘Coming Home’ by Michael Morpurgo.
Lesson flipchart/presentation and worksheets for children included.
A great unit to discuss migration, the feeling of home, and connected to winter time and Christmas.

The lessons include opportunities to read the book, explore the story read by Michael Morpurgo and through videos. The lessons practice and develop learners’ comprehension, inference skills and ability to summarise, whilst supporting the children’s vocabulary devlopment.

Developed for Year 4 children but could also be adapted for all KS2.
