Book Marking Feedback Generator

(1)
Say goodbye to hours and hours of book-marking; here’s a template for making it all so much quicker! This workbook has been designed to store comments for up to 31 topics (could be within the year or across a key stage) and provide printed feedback to stick in student books for class sizes up to 32. Each student can receive up to: 3x Topic specific WWW 3x Topic specific EBI 3x General comments (i.e. presentation and spelling) 1x Effort Grade There is also some space at the bottom of each sheet for students to respond to feedback. I would suggest that this is printed on coloured paper and glued into student books once complete, as this helps it to stand out as a piece of marking, rather than work. In the document, there are 6 sheets (Overview, Print, Validation, WWW, EBI, Teacher). Overview - Provides an overview of the comments available to choose from for the feedback sheets. Also has instructions on how to use the Generator. Print - This is where you choose your comments for your students and also what you print (funny that!) Validation - Funky drop-down list stuff happens here, you don’t need to worry about this one. WWW - Write your topic specific positive comments here and your topic titles. EBI - Write your topic specific not so positive comments here. Teacher - All your generic comments go here. Some have already been suggested. It will take you some time to fill in all your comments the first time you use it, but once that has been done the comments for an entire class can be done in about 1hr. Please note, this file does not include comments, this is a template only, the image is for reference as to how it may look once completed Any feedback would be appreciated.

Gap Analysis Feedback Generator

(1)
Feedback generator template suitable for use with any test. Ideal for identifying class misconceptions as well as providing students with clear feedback and improvement tasks tailored to their performance. Customise for your test (test name, question topics, marks per question, grade boundaries) - hide any unneeded columns Input the student data (names, target grade and marks achieved per question - do it as you mark! it’s much quicker!) Customise your feedback comments (improvement questions, choose to give % achieved, on/above/below target or both and % on a question for “you did well on…” comment) all these cells are highlighted yellow - apart from student marks The student data will be RAG coloured by question for class analysis to easily identify class misconceptions. Delete the extra columns (do not relate to a question) on Feedback Sheets Student feedback sheets will be generated containing (2 per A4 page): Student info, RAG coloured marks per question, target and achieved grades and improvement comments as customised Suggested feedback lesson outline: making corrections to tests discuss class misconception 1 individual work on improvement task 1 discuss class misconception 2 individual work on improvement task 2 EXT: continue with individual corrections **UPDATE: newly added option to set red rating limit on feedback sheet, tweaked conditional formatting on feedback sheets to RAG rate correctly

Command Words Tarsia

Tarsia puzzle (match terms and definitions on triangular cards to complete the puzzle) Based on the Edexcel specification command words for Science, but will apply to other subjects as well. Excellent for ensuring students understand what is being asked for in a question. Simply print and cut out the cards, back with coloured card and laminate to make class sets. Excellent revision activity, can take quite a while the first few times students try to complete it, I recommend giving groups of 4 up to 20 minutes, but with practice I’ve had students do it on their own in close to 5 minutes. Really builds confidence and fantastic across the curriculum!

Plan your week in 10 minutes! This is a database template to make weekly and long-term planning much less time-consuming. Simply enter your term dates and timetable to get your teaching schedule for the year then enter the lesson code to get your lesson information and requisitions sheet filled in automatically. Data entry for this is time-consuming, but if you are likely to use the same lesson multiple times throughout the year or use the workbook over multiple years it becomes very time efficient. This file is based on a 5 period day and two-week timetable. 5 and 6 period days and 1 and 2 week timetables also available. File includes: Instructions on use Sheet for Term Dates Sheet for Teacher timetable Sheet for Daily schedule for year Sheet for Requisitions (delete if not needed) Sheet for Lesson Information database

Teaching Planner Template

(0)
This template is designed for all teachers who would rather not spend their time figuring out when they are going to teach a certain lesson and what they did last time they taught it. Use this database to keep track of the lessons you’ve already planned and plan ahead to make sure you keep on track with your lessons. The template provides a way to forward plan for the whole year that is easy to edit and update. Designed for a 5 period day and 2 week timetable, but easy to modify for your needs. Simply input term dates into the Term Dates tab and your teaching timetable into the Timetable tab, this will make sure the “Planning” tab matches your needs. The main focus of your efforts for planning using this template will be to input your lesson information in the “Lesson Information” tab. WARNING: this will take a long time to do properly, but I am happy to help guide you through any difficulties. Work on this as you use the planner, but doing so will enable you to call up the information for any given lesson with ease in the “Lesson Plan” tab as and when you need it. The planner also provides sheets for any printing or requisitions for the week ahead for easy reference. Using this template will help you build up a database of lessons for you to reuse and tweak year on year and ultimately massively reduce the amount of time you spend planning your lessons.
