Match the pairs of Simultaneous Equations to their solutions to read the message. If they can read the message it must be right I guess. The standard one is very challenging so I did one with all positive solutions. Should I do one with non-integer answers? Personalised messages by request. Apologies... I had to redo this after I found a glitch. but I have checked and these are now "good to go"!

Prime Factorisation Coded message

Uses the first 26 prime numbers to code the 26 letters. Each number is formed by multiplying the" prime numbers" of the word. This is a challenging task and really makes students think about how to be sure a number is a factor. Discussion of "good practice" eg ends in 0, 5 and 2 are factors. start with the vowels first. use the words you have to guess the rest! Bit of cross curricular too...anagrams...who would have thought vowels is an anagram of wolves? Comments welcome. I have to say I love using this. The sheet is A4 with two the same on it. Solve the inequalities to decode the message. If they can read the message they must have got it correct or cheated! Challenging sheet. If they multiply or divide by a negative they will need to "interpret" the answer. My advice is to avoid this by "doing the same to both sides" using addition/subtraction instead. Message is asking them if they can explain methods for the different type of questions. Bespoke messages by request…e-mail.
