This is a popular resource from my previous TES profile. it is still the same resource with one addition: a storyboard for the starter.

This lesson has been mapped to AQA and Edexcel GCSE English 9-1 creative writing components.

I use it as part of a series of 3 lessons that culminate in a written piece of work. This is Lesson 1. You can change the images to suit your students although my students love the images used here.

I have found that the students, from KS3 onwards, enjoy this lesson and become quite competitive.

It can also be used for post 16 GCSE students.

It is a useful tool to help identify any learning needs (not SEN).

Please leave feedback if you found the lesson useful.

Really useful. The storyboard idea is excellent. I plan to use the same storyboard for my lesson on Edgar Allen Poe and his short stories. The teacher notes helped a lot!
