In this activity, students will examine how the Inca Empire grew from a small Andean tribe into one of the largest pre-Columbian empires in the Americas, tracing key rulers and their military campaigns from the early 1200s through to 1527. They will also explore how the Incas used tools such as the Quechua language and the mita labour system to manage and consolidate their expanding territories.

It has 11 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
