KS3-4: Nanotechnology: when it is good (and bad) for us and society

Suitable for 11-18-year olds (secondary, middle and high schools), this article and accompanying activity sheet can be used in the classroom, in science clubs and at home.

The article includes a summary of a nanotechnology research project, an interview with the chemist Dr Andrea Holmes and an overview of nanotechnology i.e. what is it and how do you become a nanotechnologist?

The activity sheet includes discussion points - six questions the students can answer in groups or individually - and ideas for activities that are relevant to nanotechnology.
