Thanks for sharing! I tend to use soft for piano so you're not on your own...... in fact I think most musicians fully understand why we use soft when describing dynamics.

These are very useful. Just one correction though: musicians don't tend to use the word 'soft' when referring to dynamics, favouring instead the word 'quiet'. Soft is viewed as a tactile adjective, so quiet is more accurate. Yes, musicians are a pedantic bunch!
