I have made 7 quick lesson starters which encourage the children to think about the purpose of writing and see the links between poetry and song lyrics.
Great for getting Year 5 and 6 to think first thing!
Each slide contains:
- lyrics/poetry verse
- new vocabulary in purple
- points to discuss based on inference underlined
- question prompts on each page
