A video created by The National Apprenticeship Service (NAS). The Royal Air Force Museum, faced with a growing skills gap and a falling number of qualified volunteers, set up its Apprenticeship programme in aircraft restoration in 2004. Each apprentice works closely with a master craftsman, and is challenged to use their initiative to develop novel answers to complex and unusual engineering problems.
