SEL & EdTech Integrated ESL Lesson Plan Collection - Characterization Analysis

A collection of four lesson plans that can serve as flexible templates for other EdTech- or SEL-integrated ESL lessons for adult learners.

These plans are designed to be versatile and can be isolated as standalone plans or as part of a cohesive, scaffolded unit that would need only slight adjustments. This unit focuses on characterization analysis for an advanced ESL proficiency level, where students identify and analyze character traits from texts and/or media.

Lesson Plan 1 serves as a foundational, academic lesson without any SEL or EdTech integration.
Lesson Plan 2 introduces EdTech integration, while Lesson Plan 3 introduces SEL strategies.
Lesson Plan 4 is the culmination of all three, fully integrating both SEL and EdTech while maintaining an academic-focused lesson.
