This was a short starter which I developed and it turned out to be more demanding than intended.

This is a pdf showing three coloured tiles and students are to name which squares should be coloured to give which type of symmetry.

Line symmetry is easy to visualize but rotational symmetry not so much.

I aimed this at foundation level GCSE but it can be used at Key stage 3 or even 2.
