I usually teach animals classification at the same time that I work this book in English (literacy). Then we classify the animals in the story acoording to different characteristics.

Lovely idea to use such a popular book as a base for a lesson. I am going to test it out today and am sure that the children will love it! The vocabulary is a bit difficult for them, but I am hoping their enthusiasm to hear the story will make them keen to understand and learn it.
