Take your students along the Kokoda Track. Look at the photographs and gain an understanding of the the challenges of walking along this Track. If you want to add more difficulty and danger consider using the companion unit on the Kokoda Track which is entitled “Why the Kokoda Track became a battlefield during the Japanese advance on Port Moresby during World War 2”. In peace time the Track has become a tourist attraction. During World War 2 it gained the title of “hell on earth”. This can be a standalone unit or it can be used as a parallel resource on Australia during World War 2.
