An ESOL / EAL listening comprehension and reading lesson about the life of Robert Burns. The focus is on hearing and basic understanding and looks at some of the of traditions and national customs of Scotland, related to the life of the national poet.
There is also a grammar focus on linking words such as and, so, because, but & when.
Students watch a short animated video about Robert Burns and answer questions related to the story. There are activities such as sentence ordering, underlining the linking words and gap-fill. Solutions are included.

This would best suit pre-intermediate (A2) or intermediate (B1) level students.
