I had to differentiate it for high and low ability students since the info on the card sort is fairly detailed. Useful overview exercise of key events in the history of the Empire. I can imagine this provoking lots of discussion with students about how to measure success or failure, and whether this is measured from the perspective of the rulers or the ruled.
