I want the candidate to provide references or referee details
You can request references or referee details when candidates apply.
- When you are creating your vacancy, you should:
- Click manage profile Requirements at the bottom of the form
- Tick the References box
- Press Save
The jobs board tells applicants to supply a completed reference or referee contact details.
I want to collect referee details after a candidate has applied
If you choose to collect references or referee details post-application, follow these steps:
- Select your vacancy
- Click View application on your chosen candidate
- Click References to open the references tab
- Click + Request referee details
- Customise the email template and press Send request to the candidate
The candidate then provides the details when prompted. You will receive a notification when the referee details are provides.
I want to request a reference from the provided referee details
You can contact the candidate’s provided referee details from within the ATS.
- Select your vacancy
- Click View application on your chosen candidate
- Click References to open the references tab
- Any referee who has not given a reference will show the following message: “No reference has been provided by this referee. Request a reference.”
- Click Request a reference
- Double check the details and press Send reference request
- The ATS notifies you and adds the reference to the candidate’s profile.
What data does the reference form request?
Referees provide the following information:
- Confirm their contact details, job role and the time they worked with the candidate
- Disclose if they would work with the candidate again
- Express if they know if the candidate has been in a situation that may compromise their ethical or professional standing
- Report if they know the candidate has been involved in any child protection situations
- Mark a variety of indicators of teaching and learning standard on a five-point scale: Inconsistent, Developing, Proficient, Accomplished, Lead
- Mark a variety of indicators of extracurricular standards on a five-point scale: Inconsistent, Developing, Proficient, Accomplished, Lead
- Mark a variety of indicators of professionalism on a five-point scale: Inconsistent, Developing, Proficient, Accomplished, Lead
- Write any extra comments (500 characters max)
