‘Hindu Festivals: Diwali’ is the third lesson of the unit ‘Exploring Hinduism’ (unit plan can be found here and the complete unit of study here) and it is designed to last 1-2 periods. ‘Hindu Festivals: Diwali’ complements ‘Diwali Fun Activity Pack’ and ‘Diwali Jigsaw Puzzles’. The resource contains a PowerPoint to give structure to lessons, a flip chart with engaging activities for students and worksheets. The animation added to all slides helps teachers to pause whenever necessary to explain, expand or clarify any questions pupils may have.
