Sheet for students to plan their Reflective Essay to meet the IB marking criteria
Once they have completed this sheet, that should create the plan for the essay. Tried and tested in a Grammar school and proven to be successful.
I made (with the help of AI) this 50 MCQs covering the Edexcel Business GCSE Scheme of Work.
Its good for testing knowledge and for starting conversation about the knowledge they don’t know.
Very useful starter, cover or homework.
I have used AI to go through every AO3 topic on the syllabus and create evaluation tables for each topic - Micro, Macro and Global
It basically summarises the whole of the A03 elements of the course.
It is a large document of 89 pages and can be used as a whole, or in parts.
I gave it my students to use as a revision tool and/or aid memoire for practising writing essays and appreciating synthesis and evaluation.
It is useful for 10 and 15 markers on Paper 1, 2 and 3
It took me days to produce, so it seems a shame not to share it.
This is just all the case study questions from past papers on the LIBF website cut and pasted into document and organised by Topic. They are useful for case study prep, question spotting and developing your own mocks
All previous LIBF CeFS Unit 2 Case Study Questions today cut and pasted from the LIBF past papers on the LIBF website, sorted by Topic.
(Although there is a lot of overlap in the 15 mark questions)
Useful for student revision, writing mocks and question spotting.
Nothing fancy, but took me a while, so why not save yourself some time?
These resources are nothing fancy, they are just my resources that took quite a long time to make and so I thought I’d share them.
My approach to the LIBF case study is this
Getting to know Harry Questions (see my other resources) to help student familiarise themselves with the case study. I allocated sections to different students and then they all uploaded into one revision document
LIBF-May-2023-Exam—Unit-2-CS2-Quiz—POWERPOINT - I bought this from TES for just £3. It was really worthwhile and made a fun way to check knowledge and understanding. I’d recommend.
These Case Study Practice questions - All I have done is taken my list of past exam Case Study questions and identified key themes in the Case Study. I have then adapted the past exam questions that are similar to the ones that might come up for Harry. I have then found the corresponding markscheme answers for previous case studies and cut and paste them in. There are about 20 questions
The student task is to read the markscheme (and text book if needed) and identify the relevant knowledge to answer the question and then also identify relevant detail in the case study to use as application. They just bullet pointed this at this stage. Again, to save time, I allocated different questions to different students in the class (differentiated in terms of level of difficulty) and then they shared their answers. Student completed as homework
Then we will use step 3 to do some practice question
Then I intend to use Daniel Topping’s resources that are also available on TES and always very worthwhile to complete a mock with the students.
Prepartion for Case Study 2
Starter - How does the case study fit in with our learning for this unit?
Getting to know case study section - short questions about the case study
Applying key words to case study
Example questions adapted from past papers to Aaron, sorted by topic x 20. Question given with space for answers and then previous mark scheme answer. Students read the markscheme and the identify key knowledge and add in any application material that is relevant from the case study.
Helps students to think about potential essay answers, increases exposure to mark scheme material and also illustrates how the questions the students will be asked are about the Sustainability of the Finance Industry rather than Aaron’s situation.
Over 100 questions based on the case study, organised by topic to help students get to know the case study and prepare for possible case study exam questions.
Also helps application in the exam and makes sure all areas of the syllabus are covered in revision.
