Example text demonstrating dialogue writing with direct speech based on the fantasy novel The Nowhere Emporium by Ross Mackenzie. The model text contains a conversation between Daniel, the protagonist, and the other children in the home about Spud and his gang. The model text can be used as a WAGOLL to examine using the Feature Find worksheet (answers included) before children attempt their own dialogue writing based on the book.
