AQA Physics P3 target sheets

(4)
A target sheet containing all the differentiated learning outcomes by colour for the P3 topics. Students to allocate a colour (green = understand fully, yellow = partially understand and red = do not understand) before and upon completion of the topic. Teacher can use to amend teaching and students can use to identify strengths and weaknesses for directed study. After each end of topic test, students can write down their targets for improvement and teacher can give a written comment of student performance.

Why is g 10 N/kg?

(0)
This a directed inquiry-based learning worksheet I have prepared so students can answer for themselves why g has the value it has. From Year 7 in the English National Curriculum, they are given this value but rarely do we explain where it comes from. This sheet attempts to answer that question. I use it with Year 10 students but it could easily be used earlier or later on in physics. Each questions leads onto the next with minimal guidance required. The stronger students can work through it with ease and move on to a practical where they determine the value experimentally. Weaker students will need more guidance but this activity will allow you the time in class to do this. I have a number of these sheets I have been developing recently and they have been successful with with classes.

IB DP Physics Target sheets

This is the complete list of target sheets for the IB DP Physics course including the Astrophysics option. These targets sheets are a list of objectives, separated into things to do and things to know. I get students to audit their knowledge before each topic and then again after to focus revison. Before the exams I print them all out as a booklet and get them to do the same. Much more efficient to revise what you dont know rather than everything.
