KS3 Philosophy of religion Ludwig Feuerbach

(0)
This is a KS3 lesson aimed at year 9 but could easily be used for year 9 with little adaptation. This is the sixth lesson of part of a philosophy of religion unit but can also be used as a stand alone lesson. The only slide which holds minor reliance on the prior learning is the plenary so this is easily changed for alternative need with minimal work. All the resources are available as individual items but will also be available as a unit bundle at a reduced cost… This lesson focuses on Ludwig Feuerbach and his philosophy that God is what man needs/wishes.

Constructing the 9 point Circle (Feuerbach's or Euler's Circle)

(1)
An activity in how to construct the 9 point circle - a beautiful construction using mid points and perpendicular bisectors. The worksheet takes students through what is required (this is not a simple task so only try this with top sets!) I have also added the Geogebra file for you to play around with.

OCR A-level Religious Studies: Religious Experiences Revision Notes

(0)
These are very condensed and concise revision notes, useful to easily remember and quick to learn, with the information to write an A* essay on any question on the given topic. These notes were invaluable to my revision and attaining an A/A* in Religious Studies. The knowledge in these revision plans are sufficiently detailed and have are able to fill the scope/demand of any essay question within the topic. These are revision notes of Religious experiences. This contains comprehensive notes on Conversion, mystical and numinous experiences along with psychological explanations from James, Freud and Feuerbach, to ensure high mark essays with breadth in scholars and academic approaches. It also contains a very high range (20+) of additional scholars, with application arguments from religious language and wider reading.

A 'normal adolescent phenomenon'? William James on Conversion Experience, OCR A2

(1)
A lesson prepared for my school's MOCKsted inspection, featuring introduction to the term 'conversion', excerpts from James' lectures on the subject, a video testimony of gangster-turned-preacher Nicky Cruz, plus the confession of the 'most dejected convert in all England': C.S. Lewis. Students consider whether James' idea that conversion is a 'normal adolescent phenomenon' is borne out by evidence.

Investigations - miracles and science

These are the notes I use for my pupils when studying and revising the Investigations module. We do the first question - science ans religion looking at modules. I get the pupils to make revision notes and do an essay plan from this which they then learn and then we regulary do timed essays on it so they get used to cramming as much infomation onto the paper in 1hr 15mins which is all they are allowed. I hope you find this useful - it took me hours! Please leave a comment

start of something great - to share everyone's favourite quotes and poems, good for exploring issues and putting up around the RE classroom. Some collections of my own favourites and bits from an RE thread on the subject of quotes. 133 quotes from wattsy85&'s fantastic collection. These are set out so you can print them onto A4 for laminating and display and saved as a pdf so they don&';t move around. Do send me your own favourites to share. I'll add more links later Thanks. A'Level Buddhism Resources

These are resources I use for OCR Buddhism. I update these resources all the time or add new things to them so please feel free to comment and suggest any improvements - there are lots of spelling mistakes and philosophical errors that I try to weed out as much as possible but I tend to update the resources whenever I spot them. If you make any additions or improvements to the files please let me know so that I can use them also - thanks I definitely need to make updates to my booklets on zen, ethics, and meditation so any help there would be appreciated.
