A short presentation on Pyeongchang 2018. I used information borrowed from Richardtownend1978 which was in English. Intend to use as a Scavenger Reading activity with his reading comprehension sheet in English. Struggled with the translation of some of the new events - please feel free to advise about corrections.

Spanish Winter Olympics - Juegos Olimpicos 2 Emergent Readers - Each booklet contains 8 pages: the title page with 7 additional pages containing words associated with the winter Olympic games. One booklet contains text and images, the other contains text only so students can sketch and create their own versions of the booklets. Vocabulary words included are medals, torch, spectators, rings, winter, snow, sports, and champions. Also included are suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. Students first read and cut out the booklet that contains text and clip art images. They then sketch and create their own version using the text only template. The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review, and practice pronunciation of the vocabulary. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.

This is a card sort activity to create a timeline of the last 60 years. Sheets to be printed and cut up. Use English and /or pictures to match to French, German or Spanish and then to dates. Timeline then could be drawn for display or in exercise books. Or made into PowerPoint, as required!
