This New Year puzzle contains 27 clues for common Spanish New Year vocabulary words plus 12 clip art images for students to identify. Sample words are grapes, parade, celebration, friends, family, kiss, resolution, fireworks, hats, churros and chocolate, and parties. Students are instructed to:
1. Write Spanish vocabulary words under each picture.
2. Write the English meaning next to each clue.
3. Complete the puzzle.

Spanish Clothing Fashion Show - La Ropa - Desfile de Moda - Student groups take turns introducing each other, telling likes, desires for the future including profession and describing clothing worn by each group member model. Included in the download: 1. Fashion show instructions 2 per page for paper saving student handouts. 2. Fashion show instructions in large font 1 per page for presenting and practicing vocabulary as a class.
Help your students remember the important future tense irregular verbs and their stems with these colorful classroom signs. Just print in color and hang in a visible location! The signs included are: 1. Title sign 2. Sign with an easy to remember mnemonic sentence at top and 12 common irregular infinitives that all Spanish students must learn. 3. Sign with the 12 common irregulars verb stems The signs can also be projected to present and review the future tense irregular verbs.
Students write a letter to Santa that explains their behavior and tells him what gifts they would like him to bring. There are 48 vocabulary words in Spanish and English to assist students in their letter writing. Included are words about behavior and many gift vocabulary words such as cell phone, clothes (there are 17 clothing words), books, toys, video games, skis, etc. The quantity and variety of vocabulary makes it easy for students to complete their writing assignments and makes this item useful for all levels of Spanish. A one hundred word essay works well for first year students. The word count can be changed for other levels and varying ability levels.
2 Spanish Las Posadas Booklets - La Navidad - Students first cut, assemble and read the Las Posadas Booklet that contains text and illustrations of items associated with Las Posadas such as farolito, villancicos, pinata, Maria, Jose, Jesus, etc. They then create their own version using the text only template. Students enjoy illustrating their own booklets and will share them enthusiastically with their classmates and family members! Each booklet contains 8 pages: the title page with 7 additional pages containing common Las Posadas words. This item also includes suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the Las Posadas vocabulary words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures that correspond to the text.
Students label Père Noël with 18 French body parts and clothing words. A French/English bilingual word bank is included on the activity.

This activity contains 8 Spanish fill in the blank and sentence translations with direct object pronouns and food vocabulary. Verbs used are cocinar, lavar, comer, vender, ir a + comprar, traer, and tener.
Students are instructed to:
1. Substitute the direct object with a direct object pronoun
2. Translate the Spanish sentence to English.
3. Write a Spanish food word under each of the 8 clip art images.

Students practice agreement in number and gender of people nouns such as man, woman, boy, girl, etc. and descriptive adjectives with this 18 question worksheet. An example is "the athletic woman." Students first translate it to Spanish and then write the plural forms in the second column. They are also instructed to write a Spanish adjective under each picture shown. Spanish Day of the Dead / Dia de los Muertos Fallen Phrases - This activity provides a unique way for students to write Spanish sentences that utilize common Day of the Dead vocabulary (pierced paper, bread of the dead, cemetery, food, photo, altar, marigolds, family, sugar skulls, etc.) and the verbs gustar and encantar. There are 7 sentences to translate from English to Spanish. The words of the sentences must be written inside of "fallen phrases" boxes that resemble a crossword. Students get feedback as they complete the assignment because only correct words will complete each "fallen phrases" box. The answer key is included.

Surround your students with Spanish language with this 167 word classroom label set! The labels are on plain, white backgrounds to allow you to print them on colored paper, rather than using expensive color printing. There are labels for most anything in your classroom from school supplies like lápices, cuadernos, plumas, tijeras, and carpetas, to standard items in and parts of the classroom like reloj, pared, puerta, ventana, planta, borrador, computadora, cartel, diccionario, pegamento, and engrapadora. Some words have more than one version included to accommodate regional differences, and several words are included in both their singular and plural forms to give flexibility in the classroom. In addition to the very typical classroom items, several words commonly found in Spanish or bilingual classroom settings are included. Examples of these Hispanic culture words are piñata, calavera, castañuelas, esqueleto, toro, and sombrero. This writing activity can be done in Spanish or English, depending on your focus and the level of the students. It's a great way to introduce students to one of Spain's greatest artists, and to add culture to your class. Students first describe and write their interpretations of 6 different Dali paintings. They then research each to obtain more information about each. Spanish Greetings, Leave Takings and Basics Vocabulary Reference - This presentation and student reference includes 40 vocabulary words and phrases to teach or review basic greetings, leave takings, introductions, courtesies, basic questions/responses like how are you/I'm well, thanks, What's you name?, How old are you? etc. Accent marks and the silent h have different color font to highlight these from the very first time that students see them. There's also a brief gender explanation about the difference between masculine and feminine adjective endings. Daily review using this presentation will help students learn a lot in a short period of time. It's also a great review throughout the year.

French Thanksgiving Foods Bookmarks With and Without Vocabulary Words - There are 5 different designs of these Thanksgiving bookmarks. One page contains bookmarks with Thanksgiving words and one page has images only. The images only version gives the option of having students write the vocabulary words for a little extra practice. Each bookmark contains Le Jour de l'Action de Grâce and 5 clip art images. Vocabulary words include turkey, rolls, mashed potatoes, gravy, pumpkin pie, corn, cranberries, stuffing, sweet potatoes. Just copy, cut, and share with your students!
